I was walking with my mommy the other day, when I saw a large pile of garbage in between two large supermarkets. I asked her: Mom, why is all that garbage there? Haven’t the people working in those supermarkets time to clean it and throw it someplace else? My mom said that was not their job and they are busy with their own problems. I wondered, if that is not their problem, then whose is it? Aren’t those people bothered by the sight and the smell everyday they go to work? And not just them, anyone who passes by that place, doesn’t anybody want to live in a more pleasant environment and not feel the smell of rotting garbage? Continue reading

Blogging is Power

As we know, the media is a very powerful tool and one should be very careful wielding it. The popularity of social media especially, has been rising throughout the years, and nowadays, social media is really influential. So, if one uses it for a right cause, a lot of good things can be achieved.

This article will focus only on one aspect of social media, and that is blogging. People blog about different things, and the beauty of it is that blogs are open to anyone, they are free of charge and are a nice way of letting people express themselves in any way they want to.

Recently, a documentary called “Forbidden Voices” caught my attention. It is about how a laptop can bring about a revolution. Namely, a female blogger from Iran was arrested because of her call for women’s equality. She was imprisoned in Tehran, harassed and accused of being a spy. Continue reading
